The House Of Prayer was founded by Rev. Gary L Butcher in 1987. Originally in a quaint, small old church building in Salem, Va. Through God's miracle power we grew to a larger facility on Portland Ave. in Roanoke.

At the House of Prayer we are a non-denominational, full gospel bible based church. We believe in the virgin birth, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We move in the gifts of the Spirit and the anointing of the Holy Ghost.

House of Prayer offers adult, youth, and children's ministries. Also a variety of music ministry followed the by the preaching of the Word.
